Presenting a Poster
The Program Sub-Committee of the Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference (14AWITC) welcomes the submission of abstracts for poster presentation at the forthcoming Conference. The posters will be on display at the Conference from 3-7 July 2010 in the Adelaide Convention Centre. The triennial Conference is the major wine industry technical meeting held in Australia, with the 2007 Conference in Adelaide attracting over 1650 delegates. A strong feature of the 2007 Conference was the very successful poster program, at which over 280 posters of a high standard were presented.
The posters provide an ideal opportunity for students, researchers, winemakers, viticulturists, industry suppliers and others to present their work and confer with other interested members of industry. It also provides industry people with insight into the quantity and quality of research and developmental work being undertaken by many organisations and provides a vehicle for the rapid uptake by industry of new, often cutting-edge, advances.
In recognition of the importance of posters as a means of disseminating information, there will be scheduled times when authors will be expected to be available at their posters for discussion.
